Transparent captions

Only the captions, no video behind them

Put the animated captions on top of any clip in your editor. The background is see-through.

The .MOV uses the PNG codec with transparency, which Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve read. It is lossless, so the file is larger than a normal video. If an app shows a black background (some phone apps such as CapCut), use the green-screen MP4 below.

After Effects

A script that builds your animated captions as editable text layers with keyframes for every word.

In After Effects choose File › Scripts › Run Script File… and pick the downloaded file. It asks for your video so it can place the captions on top. Install the fonts from Google Fonts for an exact match.

Premiere Pro

Get the animated overlay with a transparent background, or plain captions Premiere can edit.

Get the free BolCaps Bridge panel

The Bridge panel works in Premiere Pro and After Effects. Run its installer once, restart the app, then open Window › Extensions › BolCaps Bridge and import your project file and overlay with one click.
