Privacy Blur · 100% free

Hide private details in any photo or screenshot.

Blur faces, phone numbers, emails, addresses, ID numbers, passwords and QR codes before you share an image on WhatsApp, LinkedIn or social media. Everything runs in your browser: your picture is never uploaded.

How it works
  1. Upload an image: a screenshot, document, selfie or photo.
  2. Automatically detect sensitive content: faces, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, passwords, ID and card numbers, QR codes and more.
  3. Hide the information: blur, pixelate or cover the detected areas with solid blocks.
  4. Edit by hand: draw extra areas to hide, or switch off a box you want to keep.
  5. Download the cleaned image: ready to share on WhatsApp, LinkedIn, social media or anywhere else.

Honest limits: detection is automatic and not perfect, so look at the picture before you share it and add any area it missed. Reading text works best on clear English text and numbers. The first scan downloads about 10 MB once (free, from this site); after that it is cached. Nothing leaves your device.

Before you share: what to hide

A quick checklist

The full list, with reasons, is in our guide What to blur before you post a photo or screenshot.

Blur, pixelate or solid block?

Avoid hiding text with a highlighter or a see-through pen in a phone editor: the text underneath can often be recovered by changing the brightness.

Common questions

Is my picture uploaded? No. Detection and blurring run in your browser. The first scan downloads about 10 MB of detection models once, then they are kept.

Does it remove the location from my photo? Yes. The downloaded picture is a new image, so hidden photo data such as GPS location is not copied into it.

Can it read Urdu or Hindi text? Text detection works best on clear English letters and numbers. Drag on the picture to hide anything it missed.
