Will my video get monetized?
Check a YouTube Short or video against what YouTube looks at before it pays you: original content (not "reused" or "inauthentic"), advertiser-friendly words, Shorts length and shape, sound and captions. Everything runs in your browser: your video is never uploaded.
A few quick questions
- A human voice: your own narration, an AI voice only, or no voice at all.
- Original edits: captions, colour grade, animated elements, overlays and your brand, versus raw clips as they were found.
- Scene variety: cuts a minute, long still shots, and frames that repeat (loops, re-used footage).
- Shorts shape: up to 3 minutes and vertical 9:16.
- Sound: present, not too quiet and not clipping.
- Slideshows: still pictures or text with no narration.
- Advertiser-friendly words: swearing, violence, drugs and adult words in English, Urdu and Hindi.
- AI disclosure: a reminder to tick "Altered or synthetic content" when realistic AI is used.
Honest note: this is a guide based on YouTube's published YouTube Partner Program, reused content and advertiser-friendly policies. It is not a guarantee: YouTube reviews every channel itself, and you also need the subscriber and watch-time thresholds. Making your video in the BolCaps editor?
