A free Opus Clip alternative
Opus Clip made AI clipping popular: drop in a long video and get Shorts back. If you like the idea but run out of free credits or do not want another subscription, BolCaps does the core job for free. It finds strong moments in your podcast, interview or stream, cuts them to 9:16, and adds animated word-by-word captions, all in your browser.

Where a paid clipper may still win
Paid clipping apps add things BolCaps does not have yet: automatic face tracking that follows two speakers, a virality score, scheduling to your social accounts, team folders and cloud storage. If those save you hours every week, they can be worth paying for.
A fair comparison
Paid caption apps are polished and some have features BolCaps does not, such as team workspaces, cloud storage of your projects and AI b-roll from big stock libraries. Plans and limits change often, so check their current pricing page. BolCaps is the better fit if you want captions, styles and exports without a subscription, and if you would rather your video never left your device.
